(Naples, FL – October 7, 2022) The Farm City BBQ Board of Directors regrets to announce that the 2022 Farm City BBQ has been canceled because of the anticipated long-term impacts from Hurricane Ian. In the upcoming months, local government officials, Collier and Naples staff members, as well as Farm City BBQ community volunteers will be focusing their efforts on a variety of relief missions throughout the region. With this in mind, the organization’s board of directors decided to cancel this year’s event and bring the community together again for the 2023 Farm City BBQ.
The Farm City BBQ team encourages all members of the community to volunteer, donate, and help their neighbors during this difficult time.
While many relationships have been built through the Farm City BBQ, so have our next generation of leaders. As the event has grown over the past two decades, the Farm City BBQ has donated proceeds back into the community to support youth leadership development programs. In recent years, more than $600,000 has been donated back into our community to support the progress of our participating nonprofit organizations in providing hands-on education from elementary through high school students.
